Abstract:
Deep learning is transforming multiple industries. Deep learning is a new "superpower" that will let you build AI systems that just were not possible a few years ago. Self-driving cars, object detection, facial recognition, Image recognition, translation, natural language processing, medical diagnosis, personalized content on the internet, are only a partial list of domains which deep learning transformed. Experts compare the impact of deep learning on the industry to the invention of electricity.
In light of this extraordinary progress in AI, Steven Hawking and many other scientists warn against the danger of AI to humanity. They suggest that advanced AI could destroy humanity. Is it really possible that AI will develop a mind and will-power? In our meeting, we will try to answer this question, analyzing the fundamentals of AI from the neurophysiological, computational, and philosophical perspectives.
