Visa requirements are outlined on the websites of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Israeli mission in your home country. All the nesicery documents will be provided by the International Office. If there are additional documents required or further questions, please notify via email – international@hit.ac.il .
All international students must obtain an A/2 student visa from an Israeli embassy or consulate before arriving in Israel. The visa is valid for up to 12 months, may be extended, and does not permit employment. Your passport must be valid for the full visa period.

Students are required to purchase international health insurance prior to their departure. The insurance must be selected according to each student’s individual medical needs and health-related limitations. Proof of insurance coverage must be submitted to the International Office before traveling abroad.
Rav-Kav

Rav-Kav is a smart card which may be loaded with a travel fare contract*. The smart chip in the card will adjust the fare to your personal data and will provide you with the discounts you are entitled to.
Please note! When the profile expires (student, youth, etc.) loaded on the Rav-Kav tickets that had been purchased at the discount provided by the profile, cannot be used.
How to get the Personal Rav Kav Card?
Anonymous Rav Kav Card
In contrast to the Personal Rav Kav Card, passenger’s personal details are not required when applying for Anonymous Rav Kav Card. An Anonymous Card issued for a one-time payment of NIS 5.00 and may be purchased from the driver or at sales points. The card may be reloaded on board with multi-trip ticket and accumulated value granting 20% discount, as well as with weekly and daily pass. A monthly pass (Hofshi-Hodshi) contract may not be loaded. Anonymous cards do not provide discounts for eligible passengers. The card is not insured: in case of loss, stolen or damaged unused contracts cannot be refunded.
