The student exchange mobility concept was designed to promote intercultural understanding, tolerance, and meaningful global engagement. The program aims to expand students’ academic, cultural, and professional horizons by offering them the opportunity to experience a different educational environment first-hand, while studying alongside both local and international peers. Although many academic topics are universal, teaching methods, learning styles, and cultural perspectives vary from one institution to another, making the exchange experience especially valuable.

Student Mobility

The Student Exchange Program provides a unique opportunity to study at HIT, gain new skills and academic approaches, take part in research activities, and participate in seminars, workshops, and other enriching events. In addition, students will have the chance to live in the heart of Israel, enjoy its vibrant cultural and modern lifestyle, and explore the country through travel and new connections. HIT will send the exchange student’s grade transcript directly to the home university. However, it is the sole responsibility of the home university to decide on the number of credit units it will recognize for the courses taken at HIT.

No need to know Hebrew (a difficult yet interesting language) as all teachers and students communicate quite well in English.

Students coming in the frame of a student exchange will pay their tuition fees to their home institution only. Cost of travel arrangements, health insurance, accommodation, daily expenses, materials, etc. are the responsibility of the visiting student.

Students are entitled to either withdraw or change classes during the first two weeks of the semester. Yet, it is their responsibility to validate those changes with their home institution.

Students are responsible for their own medical insurance and health service fees. As an exchange student, you must already have purchased an international student medical insurance when you arrive at HIT.
