The Academic Council

The Academic Council is the supreme academic body of HIT Holon Institute of Technology and operates according to the principle of academic freedom and in accordance with the decisions and guidelines of the Council for Higher Education (CHE), as published from time to time.

As part of its responsibilities, the Council engages in preparing programs for the academic development of the Institute, including approval of curricula, determination of student admission requirements, establishment of tools for monitoring teaching standards, and granting of certificates and degrees.

The Council also establishes the appointment regulations and rules for the promotion of faculty members, and selects the Appointments Committee and additional academic committees, in accordance with the Institute’s needs and the guidelines of the Council for Higher Education.
