The Lab is an international forum led by Prof. Payal Arora, one of the most prominent researchers in the field of inclusive AI culture. The forum brings together global leaders from industry, civil society and academia, representing Austria, Egypt, Turkey, South Africa, Germany, Switzerland, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Nigeria, and South Korea, and is dedicated to the global implementation of AI.

The mission entrusted to the forum’s members is to cultivate leaders and advance the integration of generative artificial intelligence in academic education systems, and to develop AI datasets, tools, services, and platforms that are inclusive and sustainable with a particular focus on underserved populations who face barriers to, or only partial access to, technological applications.

In the invitation extended to Prof. Kurtz, it was stated: “We view this invitation as part of building a movement for social change through AI, with a focus on people and humanity.”
