Sheba Medical Center Management on Professional Visit at HIT – Holon Institute of Technology

Lecturers and educators, students from several colleges, universities, and youth organizations from Israel, Morocco, and Europe gathered for a closing conference marking three years of cross-border educational collaboration under the IMPACT project.

Daniel Samarjian, a Computer Science graduate and app developer at the MAIA Lab within the Department of Digital Medical Technologies at HIT – Holon Institute of Technology, has taken first place at the NEXT-I Hackathon, organized by the Research, Development and Innovation Center of Ichilov Medical Center, together with his team. This year's hackathon challenged participants to transform real clinical problems into practical solutions that improve the quality of patient care.

HIT Holon Institute of Technology is laying the groundwork for the future of medical technology with the establishment of a unique faculty that brings together engineering, technology (hardware and software), design, and the life and medical sciences under one roof.

Students and a faculty member from HIT's Faculty of Design, in collaboration with Schneider Children's Medical Center, have developed a gamified diagnostic system that enables neurosurgeons to obtain accurate cognitive data from children who are difficult to engage transforming the pre-surgical assessment process.
