The Lab’s main focus is on the interaction between external parameters of loading and internal parameters of deformation hardening and softening of internal structures.
It also studies the effect of generation and annihilation of dislocation on the structural balance.
To analyze the onset of failure under increasing critical loads and contact temperature, it utilizes self-manufactured face-centered cubic metal (FCC) friction rigs.
