The GenAI Innovation Lab for Learning Technologies was established to lead the field of organizational learning design and development (L&D) and to foster innovation in learning. The lab serves as an advanced research and development center where GenAI-based solutions are examined and implemented in academic training, research, product development, and the integration of learning technologies in educational and organizational contexts.

Core Objectives

  • Identifying Use Cases – Exploring the potential applications of GenAI in learning, design, and development processes.
  •  Hebrew Language Model Development – Advancing the development of language models, work environments, and GenAI applications in Hebrew.
  • Training & Personalization – Creating models tailored to specific challenges in the learning domain.
  • Promoting Responsible Adoption – Embedding principles of responsible and ethical use of GenAI tools in the field of learning technologies.

Areas of Activity

  •  Research – Investigating methods for training and applying GenAI models to L&D needs.
  •  Integration into Academic Courses & Learning Processes – Using lab tools to produce learning materials, create content and graphics for projects, as well as dedicated courses on working with advanced GenAI tools.
  •  Innovative Tool Development – Building unique interfaces and applications that advance the field of instructional technologies.
  •  Student Research Projects – Developing and evaluating GenAI-based models and tools for organizational learning purposes.

Student Research

  •  Developing an optimal workflow for creating visual assets for learning materials
  •  Examining how different parameters affect image generation in GenAI models – covering image quality, alignment with organizational style, and consistency of output
  • Fine-tuning an LLM to serve as a content analysis expert and instructional solutions consultant

The lab is open to students and faculty of the Department of Instructional Technologies, as well as external partners interested in collaborative research and development. Users will have access to advanced technological infrastructure that supports work with complex AI models.
