By leveraging Synthetic Biology (SynBio) and classical engineering, the Lab will create innovative solutions to produce bio-based materials, optimize food production, and develop eco-friendly technologies that reduce environmental impact.
It will also explore the potential of bio-inspired engineering to design new materials and processes for industrial applications. In healthcare, it will bio-engineer solutions for regenerative therapies and personalized medicine, advanced diagnostics, and smart medical devices.
This multidisciplinary lab will encourage collaborations between biotechnology, nanotechnology, industrial design, and data science in order to develop next-generation treatments and innovations that improve patient care and quality of life.
