It specializes in integrating AI into medical image processing and medical devices, and optical communication. It also develops an organic photonic neuromorphic devices (from spike neural networks to optical reservoir computing) and conducts AI flexible electronic/photonics, meta-surfaces, and quantum optics research.
The AIMOL optical setups (e.g., optical probe station, free-space MZ interferometer, Z-scan) are used to investigate waveguide structures and micro-scale optical chips, and the lab also contains equipment for material inspection (e.g., FTIR, Raman microscopy, chemical hood, spectrometers).
