Welcome to the official page of the HOPE Project at the Department of Multidisciplinary Studies at Holon Institute of Technology (HIT).
The HOPE Project (Higher Education for Openness, Peace & Empathy) is an innovative Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) initiative that started in November 2025 and will be completed in November 2028. The project establishes a transformative global and local partnership, uniting 11 leading educational institutions across Germany, Greece, and Israel:

It is vital for MDS to take a prominent role in this project to strengthen the capacity of higher education institutions in promoting reconciliation, constructive conflict resolution, and peacebuilding. By taking part in this initiative, HIT is actively helping to develop a specialized curriculum designed to foster intercultural dialogue and support the coexistence of all diverse populations in Israel, including Arabs, Jews, Druze, religious, and secular communities. This inclusive effort is particularly crucial in the wake of recent regional conflicts. By aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), this project allows HIT to help shift the dialogue toward human security and empathy.
