This collaboration between HIT and Hadassah Medical Center aims to revolutionize brain disorder treatment through the development of innovative neurological monitoring sensors that integrate optical sensors with implanted depth-electrodes.

This approach promises more personalized, targeted interventions across neurology, psychiatry, and neurological rehabilitation, representing a critical step towards understanding and treating complex neurological disorders.

This effort is enabled by the NELC facilities’ advanced monitoring systems, including Video EEG, source-localization algorithms and multi-channel optical systems, which enable the detection of hemodynamic brain changes up to 100 seconds before electrical seizure signals.
