Located within HIT and equipped with state-of-the-art virtual and augmented reality systems, the Lab brings together academia, industry and medical partners to rethink the challenges in modern medicine and transform them into practical XR-based solutions.
Working hand-in-hand with hospitals, medical schools and healthcare professionals, the Lab identifies pressing needs, but also develops and tests innovative tools in real clinical and educational settings.
These efforts are reinforced by joint research projects that aim to advance digital health practices both in Israel and internationally.
Alongside its collaborations, the Lab integrates students directly into its activities, offering opportunities to engage in final-year projects, internships and advanced XR development courses that provide hands-on experience at the intersection of technology and medicine.
At the same time, the XRH Lab plays a central role in driving digital transformation in higher education at HIT, converting traditional engineering, design and medical courses into immersive and practical learning experiences in virtual environments. Bringing together research, development, training, and real-world application, the Lab aims to become a unique platform for innovation, training, and impact in the healthcare sector in the future.
