The Erasmus+ Capacity Building program is one of the European Union’s flagship funding frameworks, supporting international academic cooperation, institutional development, and educational innovation on a global scale.
The HOPE project focuses on strengthening the role of higher education institutions in promoting peacebuilding, conflict resolution, reconciliation, and intercultural dialogue. It aims to develop innovative academic programs, training initiatives, and digital platforms that equip students, educators, and professionals with the tools needed to address complex societal challenges.
As part of the international collaboration, partner institutions are developing a joint academic framework in peace education, alongside the creation of a digital platform and a Peace Education Hub designed to facilitate knowledge sharing, research collaboration, and interdisciplinary engagement. More information is available on the project website: https://hopeproject.base44.app/.
HIT plays a central role in the project, contributing to activities related to pilot programs, academic training, and the accreditation of new educational frameworks.
Importantly, the HOPE project builds on a previous successful collaboration between many of the same partners in the IMPACT project, which is now completing three successful years and has produced a large number of educational assets, all freely available at https://eve-impact.eu/ .
This continuity highlights the value of sustained academic partnerships and demonstrates how strong collaborative networks can lead to new projects, expanded initiatives, and additional international funding opportunities.
By combining academic excellence with international collaboration and social impact, the HOPE project positions HIT and its partners at the forefront of efforts to promote peace, dialogue, and resilience through higher education, while using technological advancement to support globalized learning and teaching.
