Prof. Yakubov, president of HIT, was invited to attend the next World Science Forum in Jordan in 2017

Professor Eduard Yakubov, president of HIT, had conducted the annual update meeting, marking the opening of the new academic year, to which he invited all the institute's faculty and administrative staff.

Ms. Dana Azrieli, CEO of the Azrieli Group, and Ms. Offi Zisser, CEO of the Azrieli Foundation Israel, visited HIT – Holon Institute of Technology, to discuss ideas for collaboration between the foundation and HIT in several different fields – academia, research, business and community involvement.

On Thursday, August 20th, 2015, representatives from the management of IBT – Israel Brain Technologies came to HIT to promote possible collaborations with HIT researchers.

In a moving ceremony honoring donors and endowment foundations, which took place July 22nd, HIT honored all those organizations, non-profit associations, endowment foundations and private donors who contributed fellowships for students, describing them as 'fellow travelers'.

At a special tribute event in honor of the Druze 'Sword' Battalion, HIT's president Prof. Eduard Yakubov received an honorary award from Koftan Halabi, chairman of the Association for the Promotion of Druze Soldiers. The ceremony took place in Tel-Aviv's Rabin Square, with the participation of the Deputy Interior Minister, Mr. Yaron Mazuz, and other important guests.

In recent days, a delegation from the Holon Institute of Technology (HIT) completed a successful visit to Tashkent, where they held a successful array of meetings with academic and research institutions.

On Thursday, June 18th, HIT hosted a workshop designed to introduce and investigate pressing issues concerning non-ionizing radiation, which require immediate policy-setting and action.

For the first time in HIT's history, honorary degrees were awarded as part of the general graduation ceremony. In all, three honorary degrees were bestowed: on former President of the Israeli Supreme Court Judge Dorit Beinisch, on scientist Prof. Ruth Arnon, and on industrialist Mr. Stef Wertheimer.

On Wednesday, May 6th, 2015, delegates from Kauno Kolegija, one of Lithuania's leading technological institutes, visited HIT, with the aim of discussing academic and research collaboration.
