Prof. Eduard Yakubov visited Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University
During the visit, HIT's president discussed the international activity in the university and the possibilities of connecting with HIT in the fields of Sciences, Engineering, Management and E-learning.
In addition, Prof. Yakubov had met with the Nano-technology center's senior officials. The center is in charge of developing sensors with high precision fora wide array of applications.
During these meetings the parties discussed the potential collaboration with HIT's Tech Transfer Office in commercializing the products that were developed in the center.
It was agreed that a joint work team will be established in order to promote research and commercial topics, joint research presentations and conferences.
Prof. Yakubov had also visited the campus' labs and classrooms.
In a meeting that was held with Rabbi Menachem Pevzner, Chief Rabbi of St. Petersburg, the Rabbi said that he is willing to promote HIT among students that wish to join projects led by Israeli ministry of Ministry of Aliyah and Integration. Prof. Yakubov invited Rabbi Pevzner to visit HIT.
