The president of HIT and the head of the R&D authority, were invited to Ariel University

Prof. Eduard Yakubov, President of HIT and Dr. Refael Barkan, head of the research, development and external relations authority, were invited by Professor Albert Pinhasov, Vice President and Dean for Research and Development at Ariel University, as guests of the university.

The visit, which took place on Oct. 28th, was aimed at exploring various possibilities of cooperation between researchers and faculties in the fields of engineering and science. These will later be broadened to other fields such as: design, technology management and instructional technologies.

A suggestion that was made during this visit, was to hold a research day, shared by both institutions, during which research groups with researchers from both institutions, that will be formed around common interest topics.

Vice president and Dean of Research and Development at Ariel University, Prof. Albest Pinhasov, suggested establishing an Inter-Institutional committee that will define the outline for common research proposals and the establishment of a new cooperation between the two institutions.

In light of the existing cooperation between both HIT and the Ariel University with "Maccabi Health services" and "Assuta" hospitals, both institutions will also explore the option of combining their efforts towards deepening research and development in the fields of elite technologies in the healthcare world.
