Prof. Haim Taitelbaum, Member of the Council for Higher Education, visited HIT


The meeting was attended by HIT's President, Prof. Eduard Yakubov, Vice- President for Academic Affairs, Prof. David Shoikhet, HIT's CEO Mr. Shmuel Goldberg and Mr. Mordechai Mishan, Senior Advisor to the President, as well as the Deans of the Faculties of Engineering, Design, Science, Instructional Technologies, Industrial Engineering and Technology Management, Department of Multidisciplinary Studies, Department of Digital Medical Technologies and the Center for the Advancement of Teaching.

Prof. Taitelbaum received a comprehensive overview of the Institute's activities from the President and a detailed review by the deans and department heads of the academic and research activities carried out in their respective units.
In addition, he was presented with HIT's preparations to embrace digital education, in keeping with the recent grant provided by the Planning and Budget Committee.

After touring the campus, including a number of laboratories as well the active construction site of HIT's future dormitories, he summed up his visit expressing his very positive impressions of HIT and its growth over the years in terms of physical plant, academic and research activities. 


Prof. Haim Taitelbaum was appointed to the CHE in 2016, and since then, has served in several capacities, most recently leading the reform in English language studies initiated by the Council.
