Sayfan G. Borghini, PhD, is a Lecturer at the Interdisciplinary Program and at the Master’s Program in Integrated Design at the Holon Institute of Technology (HIT). She is one of the founding members and currently Lecturing at the Postgraduate International School of Thinking at the Vreij University in Brussels, where she is affiliated with the Evolution, Complexity and Cognition Research Group (ECCO). She has been a researcher in a number of European wide projects such as PLAST (Pattern Languages for Social Innovation) and the interdisciplinary Tempus Idea European Project. As part of her research she took part both in the curation and as a scientific advisor in exhibitions exploring novel human-machine interactions and bio-design. Her background is in biophysics and complexity, bio-inspired design, and urban ecology.
