Grid 2020 Speakers

Arch. Tamar Lev-On Faculty of Design, HIT

Born in 1978, Graduated Tel Aviv University (Architecture) and Kingston University, London (Art), both in honor. Lecturer in HIT, Holon. My work is presented through a variety of media and installation will include both 2d and 3d, reflecting my skills as a multimedia artist, architect and designer. The five years I spent living and working in London, have contributed to the themes I deal with and the identity search as stranger-local, artist-woman. I regularly participate in exhibitions in Israel and abroad. I have participated in two Venice Biennials (2009, 2011) and in Fresh Paint Art Fair, among others. My work mainly explores fictional narratives alongside histories, masquerading and space structuring. My portrait could also appear in fake identity, woven into local real or made up histories, site specifically. A regular member of collaborative groups i.e. South London Women Artists, I am a part of P8 Cooperative Gallery in recent years. An avid believer in collaborations, art education and contribution, and a lecturer in various academic institutions, such as HIT, teaching the interfaces of Art and Architecture.
