תקציר
אלביט מערכות מייצרת מגוון גדול מאד של מערכות לתחום הצבאי בעיקר ובשנים האחרונות גם לתחום האזרחי. מבחינה טכנולוגית המערכות של אלביט מכילות את כל תחומי ההנדסה והטכנולוגיות הקיימות בתעשייה כגון: אלקטרוניקה, תוכנה, פיזיקה, אלגוריתמיקה, הנדסת מערכת, מכונות, חומרים וכו'. בהרצאה אציג את חברת אלביט ומגוון פעילותיה ואתמקד בנושא מערכות אלקטרואופטיות.

ביוגרפיה
ד"ר עופר נשר, קבל תואר B.Sc. ותואר Ph.D בפיסיקה מהטכניון. את הדוקטורט עשה בתחום של הפיזיקה במצב מוצק. ד"ר נשר עבד בפיתוח גלאי IR כמנהל פרויקטים וקבוצת רדיומטריה. בשנים 2009-2011 הוא היה סמנ"כל מו"פ בחברת Sirica, שם הוא פיתח גלאי IR עבור ייצור המוני לשוק האזרחי. משנת 2011 ד"ר נשר הוא דירקטור בחטיבת כלי טייס באלביט מערכות. ד"ר נשר הוא גם יו"ר הקונסורציום HySP (פוטוניקה ברגישות גבוהה) המפתחת חיישנים לרמות תיאורה נמוכה.
Abstract
Elbit Systems produces a very wide range of systems for the military and in recent years even to the civilian sector. Elbit systems contain all areas of engineering and technologies such as electronics, software, physics, algorithms, system engineering, mechanics, materials and so on. Lecture will present the systems and activities at Elbit, and will focus on the subject of electro-optical systems.
Biography
Dr. Ofer Nesher, received his B.Sc. (1993) and PhD (1999) degrees in Physics from the Technion. He worked ten years (1999-2009) at SCD (Semi-Conductor Devices) and was program and radiometric group manager. In years 2009 – 2011 he was R&D Vice President at Sirica Corporation, there he developed IR detectors for the civil mass market. From 2011 Dr. Nesher is director at aerospace division in Elbit systems. Dr. Nesher is also chairman of Hyper Sensitive Photonics Consortium (HySP) developing Low Light Level sensors.
