Two researchers from HIT have received grants from the ISF

Dr. Erez Simony, from the Faculty of Engineering and Dr. Michael Kroyter from the Faculty of Sciences have received large grants from the Israel Science Foundation (ISF) for the next 4 years.
 

Dr. Kroyter has received the grant for his research on "The construction and non-perturbative study of superstring field theories". A month ago,

Dr. Erez Simony has received the grant for his research on "Hippocampal-based connectivity and the default mode network states underlying memory encoding during naturalistic stimuli".

Dr. Kroyter had stated that he is thankful and proud since the ISF is one of the most prestigious and important foundations in Israel for academic research.

Dr. Refael Barkan, director of the R&D and External Affairs Authority,  said that the Authority had assisted the researchers in various ways in submitting their proposals due to the great importance it attributes to the ISF grants as a major tool to advancing research in HIT and thus positions it on a high academic-research level among the rest of the higer educational institutions in Israel.
