Annual Design Supporters event at the faculty of Design's Graduates Exhibition

 

The annual Design Supporters event was held at the faculty of Design's Graduates' Exhibition, hosted by HIT's President Prof. Eduard Yakubov.

Among the distinguished guests were senior diplomatic officials including H.E. Said Rustamov, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Israel; Mr. Maqsoud Ibodulaev First Secretary at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Israel; Mr. Alexander Pozdnyakov, First Secretary for Science and Education at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Israel; Mr. Igor Lutvin First Secretary at the Embassy of Belaruss in Israel; Mr. Arno Mitterdorfer, Cultural Affairs attaché at the Austrian Embassy in Tel Aviv; Mr. Jan Franke Senior Policy Officer Trade & Economy, at the Embassy of The Netherlands in Israel; The Faculty of Design academic staff, HIT's suporters, friends and students.

Prof. Eduard Yakubov, President of HIT greeted the guests saying that this is an extremely exciting event since it marks the beginning HIT's 50th Jubilee year's events and celebrations. "169 works exhibited here are an impressive finish- line to this school year. HIT is proud to collaborate with more than 90 higher educational institutions worldwide, as well as proud of its strong ties with the entire industry", said Prof. Yakubov.

 

Prof. David Rawet, Dean of the Faculty of Design, said that the students' final projects this year reflect the spirit of the Faculty and their quality reflects the very high level of this year's graduates in particular and the study level at HIT in general.

During the event scholarships were donated by Mrs. Avital Rothenberg, who graduated from HIT several years ago. Avital, who owns AV STUDIO DESIGN which specializes in Corian processing, decided to donate scholarships to outstanding students in the Faculty of Design in memory of her brother in law, Ma'ayan, who died in an accident during his military service.
