University of Toronto Scarborough to collaborate with HIT

Prof. Eduard Yakubov, president of HIT, had recently returned from a trip to New York and Canada, where he had met with representatives of leading international academic institutions and discussed future collaborations with HIT.
 
In a meeting that were held at the University of Toronto Scarborough, which is ranked 16th worldwide and at Ryerson University, the president had discussed the establishment of faculty and outstanding students' exchange program with the Engineering, Computer Science and Applied Mathematics departments.
 
It was agreed that students from both universities will come as guests of HIT and will be introduced to senior members of the Israeli hi-tech industry in order to initiate joint projects.
 
In Toronto, the president was a guest of the Jewish Federation, and had discussed prospect donations for HIT, as well as strengthening future collaboration between the organization and HIT.
 
 
The feasibility of incorporating graduates of HIT's Pre-Med program in the University of Toronto Scarborough was also discussed during these meeting.
 
During his visit to NY, Prof. Yakubov had met with Mr. and Mrs. Peretz, longtime friends and distinguished donors of HIT. They have agreed to continue with their ongoing support and donate further scholarships to the institute's students.
 
 A meeting with a senior representative of the Jewish community in NY, had resulted in the establishment of a scholarship fund for female HIT students in the Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science departments.
 
Upon his return, Prof. Yakubov had said that the meetings were fruitful:" I've felt very proud to see the level of willingness to collaborate with HIT and I rest assured that by carrying them out, we'll continue to place HIT as a leading, innovative academic institution in the international academic arena".
