Memorandum of Understanding signed between Politehnica University Timisoara, Romania and HIT
Representatives from the Politehnica University Timisoara, Romania visited HIT for the first time and have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with HIT regarding collaboration in the field of Medical Informatics between both institutions.

The visit which was initiated by Dr. Arriel Benis form the Faculty of Technology Management, was held in order to advance collaboration between both institutions especially in the field of Medical Informatics. The guests visited the Robotics lab in the Innovations center and the Nano technology lab at HIT and heard about the various activities that take place in HIT.
The Timisoara representative were from the Faculty of Automation and Computers, department of Automation and Applied Informatics:

HIT was represented by Prof. Eduard Yakubov, President of HIT, Prof. David Shoikhet , Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Refael Barkan, Director of the R&D and External Affairs Authority ,Mr. Samuel Goldberg HIT's CEO, Dr. Arriel Benis from the Faculty of Technology Management and Dr. Nissim Harel from the Faculty of Sciences.
Prof. Yakubov said that he is happy to welcome and advance the first formal collaboration with a well-established and known academic institution in Romania and that he is certain that this will be a long term collaboration.
Dr. Barkan reviewed for the guests the vast activity that takes place at HIT especially in the research field. Dr. Benis and the guests have discussed the development of this collaboration, which will include in the future also student and stuff exchange, joint courses and large scale projects.
