Delegation from Mirzo Uglubek Innovation Center (MUIC) visits HIT

The Mirzo Uglubek Innovation Center was established in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for cardinal improvement of conditions for development of information technologies industry in the Republic and for the support of development and implementation of Information Technologies.

Meeting with Prof. Yakubov at HIT

The delegation headed by Mr. Timur Azamatov, director of the center and Mr. Sherzod Yakubov, head of the Academy unit, was invited by Prof. Eduard Yakubov, President of HIT, following a meeting of HIT's delegation during the STEMM conference in Tashkent last May, where a roadmap was presented regarding the collaboration between both institutions in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Industrial Math, Instructional Technologies, Innovation Initiatives and more.

At the A to Be - Accelerator of the Azrieli College of Engineering in Jerusalem

The purpose of the visit, is to study various Israeli innovation initiatives and to establish long term partnerships.
The delegates met with Prof. Eduard Yakubov, Presidnet of HIT and Mrs. Tony Levy, External Relations Officer, in order to prepare the signing of the MOU between both organizations.

During their stay, the guests visited several Hi-Tech companies in Israel including: Watergen, Vertical Fields Company, Hacker-U College, Israel Innovation Authority, Israel Diamond Stock Exchange, IDE Innovation Center, A to Be- Accelerator of the Azrieli College of Engineering in Jerusalem and Azrieli Business Park Holon, as example of the academy and industry cooperation with HIT.

The guests visited also The Israeli Innovation Center at The Peres Center for Peace and Innovation, where they saw the incredible story of Israel, the "innovation nation", and the diverse fields and people behind Israeli innovation.

The Delegation members met with with Dr. Ami Appelbaum, the Chief Scientist and the Chairman of the Board of Israel Innovation Authority, Mr. Aharon Aharon the CEO of the Israel Innovation Authority and Mr. Avi Luvton, Senior Director Asia Pacific Operations International Collaborations Division of the Israel Innovation Authority.
