Dr. Guy Yoskovitz invited by the American State Department 

 

Dr. Guy Yoskovitz, Head of International Ventures, Research, Innovation and International Ventures Authority, was invited by the American Embassy in Israel, which represents the State Department, to take part in the prestigious International Visitor Leadership Program.

The International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) is the U.S. Department of State’s premier professional exchange program. Through short-term visits to the United States, current and emerging foreign leaders in a variety of fields experience this country firsthand and cultivate lasting relationships with their American counterparts. 


The purpose of this visit was Internationalization of Higher Education Institutes. 


The meetings took place in New York, Massachusetts and California, where the delegation members met with an array of representatives from American academic institutions, both private and public, presenting a variety of study disciplines.


In New York:  City University of New York, The New School, Institute of International Education, Fordham Law, New York University

 
In Massachusetts :Bunker Hill Community College, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Suffolk University, Brandeis University, Northeastern University, Shorelight Education, Colleges of the Fenway.


In California: Santa Clara University, San Francisco State University, Stanford University, Academic Internship Council

Upon his return, Dr.Yoskovitz said that these meetings have contributed a great deal to both understanding the structure and the response to the Internationalization that takes an important place in higher education institutions, as it exists in American institutions. They've also laid the foundations for a work plan that strengthens the academia-acedemia ties between Israeli and American institutions as well as collaborations in the R&D, staff and students exchange and knowledge exchange arena
