HIT's Official Delegation visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan

The delegation included Prof. Eduard Yakubov, HIT's President , Prof. Adir Pridor, Chairman of HIT's Executive Committee, Dr. Refael Barkan, Head of Research Development and External Relations Authority , ,Dr.. An academic delegation from HIT lead by Prof. Eduard Yakubov, President of HIT, was invited to take part in GEW2018 Global Entrepreneurship Week in Tashkent Uzbekistan.

The Global Entrepreneurship Week is initiated by The Global Entrepreneurship Network operates a platform of projects and programs in 170 countries aimed at making it easier for anyone, anywhere to start and scale a business. Uzbekistan GEW (Global Entrepreneur Week) 2018's Director , Mr.Hikmat Abdurakhmanov (Chairman of the Association of the International Business &Technologies (AMBiT) in cooperation with Ground Zero Tashkent Accelerator, kindly invited the representatives from HIT to take courses, lectures and participate in panels on Cyber, Digital health, Industrial mathematics and Finance of entrepreneurship.
In addition to the academic delegation, a business delegation visited Uzbekistan as well, headed by Mrs. Ronit Fouzailoff, entrepreneur and among its members were Mr. Chen Saban – CEO of Alibaba, Israel and Mr. Gil Adani founder of "Hacker U" college, Israel, who were invited to lecture as well.

The Delegation members lectured during the GEW 2018 on various topics in several panels:

Prof. Eduard Yakubov was the moderator of a HIT panel called “Israel Start-up Nation” that dealt with the topic "Innovation is a trend or reality?" and
Prof. Pridor lectured about water-treatment methods and on “Industrial Mathematics potential”. Dr. Refael Barkan present the new Digital Health Faculty of HIT and said that we are the pioneers in raising the new generation of doctors that will use open data sources.
Dr. Harel Menashri lectured about “Cyber War, security and protection against cyber-attacks, solutions using advanced technologies”
Mrs. Tony Levy Lectured in Turinski Technology Institute of Uzbekistan, about financial innovation as the act of creating new financial instruments as well as new financial technologies, institutions, and markets and in the Gender Panel.

The HIT delegation made an official visit to NUUz which was hosted by the rector of NUUz, Prof. Avaz Marakhimov, who greeted the guests with the following words:

“This historical opening of this unique joint faculty is an amazing opportunity to get an education from leading foreign specialists The National University of Uzbekistan is our common home, we are always glad to welcome you and I am proud that Prof. Eduard Yakubov is a graduate of our University“.

Prof. Eduard Yakubov said that this visit is also very emotional to him since it occurs 50 years after he first set foot in NUUZ.

“I'm here again as President of HIT to sign an MOU between our institution and the Ministry of Innovation. Its main purpose is that HIT will come up with offers to projects and initiatives both national and international. It is very exciting and important to note that in our week-long visit to Uzbekistan we have met with 6 Rectors and with Ministers and Deputy-Ministers in 2 universities. This proves how deep these collaborations are and how willing both sides are to expand them even further“.

During the visit, an MOU was officially signed between the Ministry of Innovative development of Uzbekistan and HIT .For the Ministry of Innovative development, signed Mr. Mansurov – Deputy Minister and for HIT – President Prof.. Eduard Yakubov

The delegation has also visited the Governor of Samarkand Region Mr. Erkinjon Turdimov and University of Samarkand where it had a work Meetings with the Rector Prof. Halmyradov and Dr. Muhtor Nasirov- Vice-Rector.
