A Student Exchange program Agreement signed between EFREI Paris – and HIT

 

On March 15-16, 2018, EFREI Paris (France), one of the Holon Institute of Technology – HIT, French partners has organized its yearly International and Partners’ Days.

 

Frédéric Meunier – General Director of EFREI Paris, Dr Arriel Benis, Phillipe Volle – Director of Education and Research, Dr. Nicolas Sicard Director of the EFREI Graduate Studies.


EFREI Paris is a French leading engineering school specializing in Information and Digital Technologies located in the near south of Paris.


HIT has been represented in this event by Dr. Arriel Benis from the Faculty of Technology Management, head of the SIAS lab and a former academic staff of EFREI at the department of Mathematics and Computer Science.
During the International day, HIT's representative had met EFREI students at the institutional fair and led two workshops called: "Study aboard and internships at HIT, Israel", presenting HIT, its faculties and departments, its research centers and laboratories, had pointed out  its involvement both at the Industrial and Community levels.


In addition to an existing Memorandum of Understanding between the two institutions, this meeting allowed to finalize a Student Exchange Agreement between HIT and EFREI. This agreement was signed by Prof. Eduard Yakubov, President of HIT and Frédéric Meunier, General Director of EFREI Paris.

 
Moreover, a round table on "Innovative classroom" gathering senior academic staff from EFREI and International partners’ universities took place on Friday. Dr. Arriel Benis shared his experience on combining offline/online training and project mentoring.


During the event, number of discussions took place with EFREI's international partners, laying the foundations for future collaboration: Coventry University - UK, Cape Peninsula University of Technology – South Africa, Berner Fachhochhule / Bern University of Applied Sciences – Switzerland, Universidad e Salamanca – Spain, and University of Science and Technology GH Cracow – Poland.


The collaboration between EFREI and HIT started a few years ago. The presence of HIT at the EFREI’s International and the Partners’ Days and the signature of the Student Exchange Agreement is a part of the common strategy to launch joint projects both in Research and in Education.
