An inspirational week of studies


Five students from BAKU State University (BSU), Azerbaijan, spent a week of "Summer School" studies at HIT, as part of SABAH master's degree" project, and HIT students exchange.

Sonya Farajova ,Afag Tanriverdiyeva, Nusrat Aliyev,Nigar Salmanli and İlgar Abbasov, Computer Sciences M.A. students, arrived in Israel for the first time as part of a special students exchange program at HIT.


For some of them, it was their first time out of their country. They spent a week studying and exploring HIT, attending classes and visiting some labs and as well as touring a bit of Israel too. They met with Hit's President Prof. Eduard Yakubov who also awarded each of the group members a special certificate.

Upon their arrival they've expressed a special interest AI and Innovation and indeed at the end of their stay, all five said they were much impressed by HIT's approach towards innovation and creativity.


"HIT helped us change our attitude towards science" they say. "At the end, all you need is an idea and some dedicated people in order to exercise innovation. At HIT multidisciplinary approach is a vision and a way of life.
This trip broadened our horizons in many ways. When we return to our country we intend to go to our teachers and university officials and tell them about the new multidisciplinary approach to science that is implemented at HIT and how we think it can be adopted and applied a BSU".

 

The "SABAH master's degree" project was established by the Ministry of Education in 2021, and the implementation of the project began in September 2021. The Ministry of Education has cooperated with a number of universities on this project, and one of those universities is Baku State University. Within the Sabah Master's degree project, the State Examination Center announced the admission of students for the first time in the 2021/2022 academic year, and the specializations include the "Computer Sciences and Technologies" specialization of Baku State University. For the 2021/22 academic year, the admission of 100 students to the specialization “Computer Science and technology” is provided.
