Mrs. Dorit Beinisch

Mrs. Dorit Beinisch, former President of the Supreme Court of Israel, was the first female to assume both this position and that of State Attorney.

In these capacities, she has been a beacon of law and justice, making a critical contribution to protecting the law of the land so important to safeguarding human rights.

Judge Beinisch serves as a model for the values implicit in HIT’s vision for good citizenship, social and environmental responsibility, and making higher education more accessible to the entire population.

For all of the above HIT is granting her an Honorary Degree.
