  • Establish a meeting point for academia, healthcare providers, industry, social and governmental organizations, focusing on age-related physical, cognitive and mental decline
  • Foster the emergence of innovative ICT-based products and services for aging well, covering all aspects of life (home, community and work)
  • Develop novel and unique strategies to overcome the main barriers to digital inclusion of the elderly

EXPECTED OUTCOMES

R&D at CARE will:
  • facilitate increasing the quality of life, autonomy, participation in social life, skills and employability of the elderly
  • provide technological solutions for both healthy ageing and coping with age-related diseases and challenges
  • yield methods and strategies for better implementation of technology among the elderly and reduction of costs of health and social care
  • enable all stakeholders to collaborate in R&D, implementation and dissemination of innovative solutions addressing each stakeholder's needs:
    For the Industry - collaborate with top-notch researchers and experts in healthcare, engineering, computer science, design and economics for better development and implementation of its products
    For healthcare, social and governmental organizations - collaborate in R&D of solutions best adapted to their needs
    For academic partners - conduct international, multidisciplinary, applied research involving the Industry (including healthcare providers)
