The talk is based on my experiences as co-author of "Deep Junior", seven times world computer chess champion.
The presentation discusses definitions and metrics of creativity as a whole and whether it is a process that can be mechanized. It then focuses on creativity within the game of kings and its artistic value. In course, a few of the algorithms that may be responsible for the creativity manifested by computer chess engines and by Deep Junior in particular will be discussed.
