Memorandum of Understanding signed between Samarkand State University, Uzbekistan and HIT

 
Prof. Khalmuradov Rustam Ibragimovich, Rector of Samarkand State University (SamSU) and Prof. Eduard Yakubov, President of HIT Holon Institute of Technology had signed today an MOU for the development of academic cooperation.
 
HIT Holon Institute of Technology has become the first Israeli institution of higher education to engage in academic collaboration with a parallel leading institution of higher education in Uzbekistan such as Samarkand State University.

This MOU reflects both institutions' interests in the field of higher education and is a major contribution to increase the international cooperation between HIT Holon Institute of Technology and SamSU, which are both eager to establish academic ties to promote joint faculty and scholar activities, with particular emphasis on internationally funded projects.
 
Prof. Khalmuradov Rustam Ibragimovich was accompanied by Mr. Murod M. Gulyamov, Second secretary at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Israel. The guests were welcomed by Prof. Eduard Yakubov, Mr. Samuel Goldberg HIT's CEO, and Dr. Refael Barkan Head of R&D and External affairs authority. Prof. Yakubov said in his greeting speech that he sees this occasion as a bridge to the advancement of the ongoing ties between Uzbekistan and Israel, ties that will benefit both countries and that reflect HIT Holon Institute of Technology agenda to maintain academic contacts with similar institutions worldwide.
