The  IAJF-HIT research center was inaugurated at HIT, in the presence of Prof. Eduard Yakubov, President of HIT, Prof. David Shoykhet, Vice President for academic affairs, Prof. Motti Haridim head of the research center, Dr. Refael Barkan, Head of the R&D and External affairs authority, Mr. Robert Kahen, President of IAJF, Ms. Lin Meir, Mr. Zion Hasid, Chairman of the Central Organization of Iranian Immigrants in Israel, Mr. Moshe Pourostamian,  Dr. Yossef Boheiri, Mr. Yossi Sivan, Mr. Pierre Lavie, Mr. Eli Cohen deputy Mayor of Bat Yam, Mr. Vessa Woldeselassie , Mr. Roi Lesnik,  Mrs. Revital Ben -Yair and Mrs. Tony Levy ERO at  HIT.

Prof. Yakubov welcomed the guests and reviewed the research and study activities that take place in HIT and talked about its strong ties with the industry which enable students to complete their final project already in major companies as part of their studies.

Prof. Haridim talked about the goals of the IAJF-HIT research center, the major scientific achievements to date, the principles and novelties of the proposed method for detection of underground tunnels, and the roadmap for the next R&D activities.
Mr. Kahen said that IAJF is proud to partner with HIT and continue the on-going fruitful collaboration to invest in research and technology for a better and safer future.
