The RF Laboratory

In this laboratory, students take the first steps in understanding high frequency devices and measurements up to 3GHz. Students learn to use sophisticated equipment such as a Network Analyzer, and implement some of the theoretical material learned in the RF Circuit course.
The laboratory includes four stations, each of which has: a network and vector analyzer, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, two function generators and an oscilloscope. The stations are computerized and include the Agilent-ADS simulation software.
In addition, the laboratory includes a station to measure noise metrics and phase noise with an LCR meter that is suited to measure SMT components.
