CP VIOLATION IN B FACTORIES
00:00 04-07-2006
CP violation, the asymmetry between matter and antimat- ter, is an intriguing and important feature of the microscopic world. The CP violation in B meson decays had gained much attent- ion in recent years as it can be a sensitive probe to physics be- yond the standard model. The interpretation of the B decays expe- rimental results, however, is often obscured by the nonpertuba- tive nature of QCD and therefore poses a theoretical challenge. In this talk, I will review a few aspects of CP violation and B physics and discuss some of the current experimental knowledge. I will describe our work aimed at interpreting the experimental data using different approximation methods and try to conclude whether a signal for new physics has been detected.
