Program Goals
The advances in computer, communication and Internet technologies have revolutionized ways people communicate, retrieve and employ information and ways learning and instruction are carried out. The same technological advances have afforded new theoretical insights into the fields of learning and instruction.
The Information Revolution has created an increasing demand within educational frameworks, public institutions, organizations and hi-tech companies for professionals specializing in the design, development and management of technology-based instructional systems.
This demand has driven the development of the professional domain of Instructional Systems Technologies (IST) requiring a broad and well founded training program enabling the graduate to handle the challenge of optimal implementation of technology and the customization of solutions to a wide spectrum of requirements in a variety of fields in the public and private sectors.
IST students acquire tools for the design, development and management of technology based instructional systems, interactive multimedia and educational games, network based instruction and distance learning.

Employment opportunities for IST graduates:
In the public and private sectors: development, design, production and marketing in hi-tech companies, organizations and institutions specializing in development of technology based tools for learning and instruction, games and interactive multimedia, distance learning based training, and in positions of management and development of training in companies, plants and institutions implementing such technologies for the training of employees, clients and users.
